Privacy Policy

• Account details: name, email address, date of birth, password (stored securely), and city.
• Profile details: photos, bio, interests, and anything else you choose to add.
• Activity: likes and skips, matches, chat messages, meetups you create, request to join, or attend, and reports or blocks you make.
• Technical data: device type, browser, IP address, and basic usage logs used to keep the app secure and working.
• Location: we use the city you select. We do not collect your precise GPS location.

Your profile may reveal your cultural or community connection. Sharing that is your choice, and you can leave optional fields blank.

• To create your account and show your profile to other members in your city.
• To suggest people, create matches, and let matched members chat.
• To let you host, join, and manage meetups.
• To keep the community safe, review reports, and prevent fraud and abuse.
• To improve and fix the app.

We do not sell your personal information.

• Other members: your profile (name, photo, age, city, bio, interests) is visible to other members. Chat messages are visible only to the people in that chat. Meetup details and attendee lists are visible to members who can view that meetup.
• Service providers: companies that host our app, store our data, send emails, or help us operate, who may only use data to provide services to us.
• Legal reasons: if required by law, or to protect the safety of members or the public.

Some providers may store data outside Canada, including in the United States, where local laws may differ.

We keep your information while your account is active. You can delete your account at any time in Profile > Settings > Delete account. Deleting removes your profile, photos, matches, messages, likes, and RSVPs, and cancels meetups you host. Some records, such as safety reports or legally required logs, may be kept for a limited time.

You may ask to access, correct, or delete your personal information, or withdraw your consent, by emailing hellomallucircle.ca@gmail.com. If you are unhappy with our response, you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada, or your provincial privacy regulator (for example, Quebec's Commission d'accès à l'information).

We use reasonable safeguards, including encrypted connections and access controls. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a strong, unique password.

MalluCircle is only for people 18 and older. If we learn that someone under 18 has an account, we will delete it.

We may update this policy. If the changes are significant, we will notify you in the app or by email.
